For the third time, we are organizing a THINX open evening. Once again, Pand P will be the stage where young theater talent from Eindhoven and the surrounding region presents short performances from projects they are currently working on, across various genres.

Since 2012, Parktheater has been supporting young theater makers. With THINX, we aim to facilitate the visions and perspectives of young creators who are pushing the boundaries of performing arts, thereby innovating how we see and experience theater. Let yourself be surprised tonight by all these talented theater makers!

The program tonight will show you previews of: Bas van de Veen| Dolfijn met benen; Luuk Ritmeester; Zwermers; Polina Skarga; Xandry van den Besselaar| Carte Blanche.

Their works are soon to be seen at Oerol Festival, Urban Dansdagen, Pand P and Parktheater.

Part of

Zwermers - Pan~// Catwalk (Performance – Try-out)
Do we wear clothes, or do clothes wear us? What do we communicate with our second skin? And how do we interpret the clothing choices of others? In the performance Pan~//Catwalk, Zwermers plays with the human tendency to label, categorize, and judge. Accompanied by a one-man orchestra, two performers present an endless stream of outfits.

Luuk Ritmeester – Romeo & Juliet (Theater - Reading)
Luuk studied at the University of the Arts Utrecht (HKU) in the Writing for Performance program and has been a thinX maker since 2023. He is currently working on his own version of Romeo & Juliet with a theater group of Parktheater colleagues. Tonight, he will share some scenes from the performance, which will premiere on June 12 at Parktheater.

JULIET
The goddess of dawn. From the Romans.
ROMEO
Oh darling, you’re so fucking intellectual. With your poetic phrases and your Romans. I love you.

Polina Skarga
Polina is a Ukrainian contemporary dancer based in the Netherlands. She previously performed at Parktheater with thinX makers Carmen & Terence and is often found in the battles during Urban Dansdagen. Last summer, she performed during the re-performance program of Marina Abramović at the Stedelijk Museum.
During her residency at Parktheater, Polina is working on a duet with Nastia (Anastasia Russkikh), exploring the coexistence of two different personalities shaped by distinct backgrounds and sources of inspiration. This research focuses on the interaction between contemporary dance and urban dance—how they influence, intertwine, and balance each other. During the thinX evening, they will share insights from their improvisation process.

Bas van de Veen | Dolfijn met Benen (Music Theater)
Bas has been with thinX since 2025, and along with Suus Hoppenbrouwers (actress), Cristel van Kuik (set designer), and Lennert Klaui (musician), they form the youth theater company Dolfijn met Benen. They create youth theater for adults, with wacky and unconventional performances for the whole family, going in all directions. They will present the short version of De Wirwar, which was part of the 2024 Delft Fringe program and will tour theaters in the 2025/2026 season.

Xandry Van Den Besselaar – Een Klein Verhaal (Theater)
What happens when you long for something that seems increasingly out of reach? Does a chocolate bar taste better when you can resist it for a week? And does the same apply to love? Theater maker Xandry van den Besselaar was inspired for this performance by the picture book Klein Verhaal over Liefde by Marit Törnqvist, who won the Johannes Vermeer Prize in 2024. On this evening, she will show some scenes from her upcoming performance, which will be staged on May 9 and 10 at Pand P.
